Transfer case sealing Kit (DCS)

You might notice oil spots on your driveway directly under the center of the vehicle, a burning oil smell when the car is warm, or visible wetness/grime around the transfer case shafts. If you hear grinding noises, your fluid might already be critically low.

This kit includes specialized components designed to attach to the ends of the transfer case shafts. Their primary job is to create a tight seal that prevents transmission oil from leaking out and keeps external contaminants like dirt and water from getting inside the unit.

While a DIYer with advanced tools can do it, we generally recommend a professional mechanic. Accessing the transfer case often requires removing the driveshaft, and seating the seals perfectly is critical to prevent future leaks.

This kit is specifically designed for Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the DCS (Double Clutch System) style transfer case. To be 100% sure, we recommend checking your VIN or comparing your existing part to the DCS category specifications.

Even a small “seepage” can lead to low oil levels over time. Without proper lubrication, the internal gears and bearings in your transfer case will overheat and fail, which could cost thousands of dollars to replace compared to a simple seal kit fix.
